My name is Luis Filipe R. Peres , born in 1970 and so
i´m now 37 years old going on 40.
I live in the south of Portugal in the turistic region of Algarve, and I´ve been working professionaly in graphic design for the last 14 years since late 1992.
In these years i´ve designed hundreds of icons, splash-screens, flyers, screen layouts, publicity banners, posters, logos, websites for the Inoxnet project, animated characters for videogames, 3D work for the Portuguese videogame Gambys back in 95 and anything you can think of related to design connected to software creation.
I´ve worked with two of the most important portuguese software houses (Profitus Software de Gestão and Ebase Lda) and created designs for all their programs released in the last ten years (ex. Restus 2000-Touchscreen). as well as many other graphic work for those companies like the coorporate Ebase or the Inoxnet websites.
At the same time, i´ve worked part-time as an ilustrator dabbling in traditional media (acrylics, real ink and watercolors) and i´ve created dozens of landscape drawings for posters, books, or general portuguese publications. My favorite themes are the ones related to Fantasy Ilustration or cute characters as you find usualy in greeting cards available everywhere.
Right now i´m working on the second volume of my fantasy graphic novel THE ADVENTURES OF PRINCE ZIPH wich i´ve been drawing non-stop for more than a year now.

1993-95 - PC Videogame GAMBYS - Concept illustrations, character designs, enviroment art, planning, 3d Studio animations, 2D in-game animations and all graphic work for the first Portuguese PC videogame, working for the Portidata comapany. Also created all the marketing images around the project. Posters, flyers, banners, etc. Videogame released for Portugal and Spain in late 1996 to excelent reviews.
1995-1996 – Created all the graphic design for all the software of the portuguese software house PROFITUS SOFTWARE DE GESTÃO. This included all the software design for those projects, with layouts, screen design, icons and publicity elements for applications like Restus, Promax, Protel, Proloja, Promoda and WinMax 2000 line of products.
1996-1998 -Graphic Design for more software applications of the same company wich later became known as EBASE Lda. Created designs for softwares like Start Gestão Comercial, Start Facturão e Avenças, Start Shop and Restus-Start, WinMax2000 Gestão Comercial, WinMax2000 Shop, WinMax 2000 Shop Papelarias, WinMax 2000 Shop Alimentar.
1999 - Graphic design for the whole RESTUS 2000 - TOUCHSCREEN project, wich later won several Microsoft awards not only for best restaurant managment software but also the one with the best graphic look.
2000-2006 – Designed Ebase Lda website www.ebase.pt (ebase.com)and all graphic elements in it, from the smallest banner to the biggest image. This also included plenty of work in previous versions online during the 90´s.
Designed the whole graphic look for the 3rd Generation Software INOXROOM wich is an application targeted at hospitality solutions.
Co-created the graphic look for the INOXNET.com portal and designed more than sixty website projects for that project. Inoxnet is an online website editor wich allows the user to manage with total freedom the contents of his webpage.
Extra 1993/2006- Revelation Award in Loulé Comics & Ilustration competition back in 1993 and winner of the Algarve Award in that same event two years later in 1995. Ilustrated for school manuals, novel and cd covers, posters, postcards and lately created digital ilustrations for publications by the Holistic International CHI
2007 - Currently illustrating for the Jim Baens Universe Magazine and for the Dutch Foundation Culturale Droomwever as well creating illustrations for turistic maps.
